Overview

The design of the buildings and spaces by our architect Shri Sudhakar Mahadevan from Chennai, is aesthetic and sustainable design that harmonizes with the environment and enhances the learning and living experience. The design of Pathashaala spaces, from the choice of roofs to the shape of rooms and windows, has been carefully thought through. Each building features a series of vaulted arches that use hollow Wardha tumblers. This innovative approach [1] serves multiple purposes, minimises the need for energy-consuming materials like cement and steel, while helping to maintain a comfortable room temperature.  Our L-shaped classrooms, designed with meshed windows, offer a well-ventilated environment that enhances the learning experience through natural airflow. This setting fosters creativity, encourages critical thinking, and promotes collaboration among both learner-educators and educator-learners. In doing so, it breaks away from the conventional classroom norms, providing a refreshing and stimulating space for education.
