Grey water is wastewater generated in households or office buildings without fecal contamination, like water from bathing and washing clothes. We have a PHYTORID WASTEWATER TREATMENT system located behind the dining hall. It filters kitchen wastewater through a bed of gravel stones (phytorid system). This treated water is then channeled to a patch of canna plants, which naturally filter and absorb contaminants. Any water not absorbed by the plants is collected and utilized for gardening purposes.
